Robert spent nearly 30 years working in public transport and highways. He worked in a wide range of functional areas, including technical, commercial, finance and marketing. At Transport for London he led the Commercial Telecoms group for three years, managing the Virgin Media Wi-fi contract and was responsible for developing new commercial opportunities.

He was also heavily involved in the development of cashless operations and adoption of the Oystercard at London Buses. He is used to dealing with complex environments.

Following 18 months in Saudi Arabia working on the new Riyadh Public Transport Network he retrained into software engineering and is supporting the development of Smoothflow. Robert holds an MBA from Cranfield University.
